You'll find lots of information here about our district association and events we offer for students and teachers. Take your time, look around, and learn about what we do. Please feel free to contact us if you have questions. We welcome new members!
We are affiliated with the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), the oldest professional organization of independent and collegiate music teachers in the United States. Our district is an association of approximately 85 professional musicians. Whether you are looking for music lessons with a private piano teacher or an instructor of voice, strings, organ, or guitar, you will find one here.
We were honored to have been chosen from hundreds of districts across the United States as MTNA 2015 Local Association of the Year.
Our organization promotes musical knowledge and education among our member teachers and their students. We offer your students performance opportunities and educational programs, including music festivals, competitions, and the Syllabus Evaluation program. Our activities provide musical enrichment and advancement for students and build appreciation of music in our communities. Our members hail from the greater Portland area and beyond including McMinnville, Salem, Wilsonville, and Canby. We are proud to be the fastest growing OMTA District in the state!
